SMP x Powder Magazine celebrates 40 Years
Any excuse I get to visit Sun Valley, Idaho.. I’ll take it.
Just a few weekends ago my son (Julien) and I headed up to scenic Sun Valley, ID to attend Powder Magazine’s 40th Anniversary event. In short, it was unreal and there was a lot that went on – Most things of memorable mention and other things of the slightly-scandalous but exciting nature, as intended–
SV’s blog does a great job wrapping up the event.
There isn’t a question of doubt that we did our due diligence while we were there: taking lines on the slopes (yes, they actually have snow), enjoying some fine dining, mixing it up with new and old friends, and even keeping it classy at the Powder Prom.
It’s been awesome to work with the guys over at Powder Magazine. To be a supporting role of photography in lieu to their mission of bringing “Powder to the People” has been an exciting experience throughout the years. Having some of my work showcased at their once-in-a-lifetime ski culture exhibits – showcasing 80 of the most iconic Powder Magazine covers – was to say the very least, pretty cool.
Good times in Sun Valley, ID..
