We had great conditions to shoot with and it was a lot of fun working with all of you.

It looks like Mark Kogelmann has a lot of fans and did a great job getting the word out about the contest, but I want to thank all of the incredible athletes who came out and rode for us during the workshop – Shannan Yates, Jeremy Tidwell, McKenna Peterson, Vanessa Aadland, Dylan Crossman, Eric Fabbri, Dillon Green, Eric Balken, and Marvin Howard. Your talent and positive attitude makes all the difference in getting great shots.

I also want to give a big thanks to Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort for hosting the workshop for the fourth year in a row and to the Broncolor, Hasselblad, Fstop, and Pocket Wizard for their continued support.

I’m looking forward to another great workshop next year!

At the beginning of February I hosted my Fourth Annual Photo Workshop in the spectacular scenery at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort. That means it’s time again for our annual Photo Contest!

We had amazing weather this year and an even better turnout from those who participated! This resulted in some fantastic photos showing what our photographers learned and how they put their new skills to the test. Here is a selection of photos and we want to know which is YOUR favorite!

We have some awesome prizes for the winners this year including: a DAKINE camera pack and some Sun Sniper camera straps, so Vote now!  You can use the poll below to cast your vote, and then head over to my Facebook Page to “Like” any picture that makes an impression on you! Each “Like” on Facebook will also contribute one vote for that picture in the final tally. Additionally, if you leave a comment as to why you voted for your favorite, that will count as an additional vote for that photo.

Adventure with f-stop

SMP x f-stop

For those of you who haven’t heard of f-stop, f-stop is an international company that makes adventure photography camera packs and bags and defines adventure photography as “any photography that gets the blood moving”. Something we can both agree on. They also believe “your camera bag should assist you in getting the perfect shot – not hold you back.” –again, another point I can agree on.

I’ve had the fine pleasure of working with these guys in the past as a member of their Faction team of pro adventure photographers, and not too long ago f-stop used some of my work as part of one of their Adventure Photo Newsletters, Click HERE to take a look!
