A ski resort is a resort developed for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports. In Europe a ski resort is a town or village in a ski area - a mountainous area, where there are ski trails and other supporting services such as hotels, restaurants, equipment rentals, and a ski lift system. In North America it is more common for ski areas to exist well away from towns, and the term ski resort is used for a destination resort, often purpose-built and self-contained, where skiing is the main activity. ;

nice portfolio! particularly love the lighting in all of your shots! I've just started and i'm not sure how I feel about 500px yet. On the one hand, the interface is beautiful but then it's VERY hard to get exposure on there. I've posted stuff at all different times of day to varying responses.

My highest rated image on there was like a 96.0. The first time I posted it I got 0 votes/likes in the first hour. As an experiment, I took it down and immediately reposted it and got a barrage of votes and it was on the upcoming page in a couple of minutes. I think it might be better if they limited everyone to 2-3 uploads per day, or at the very least made some rule where you have to wait at least x number of hours before posted another photo!
